SEREMBAN: A four-month-old baby boy is in critical condition at the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital here after suffering a brain haemorrhage while under the care of a babysitter.

The baby has been receiving treatment at the hospital's intensive care unit since Tuesday (Aug 21) when he was rushed there by his mother after the babysitter told her that her son had lost consciousness.

News of the baby having suffered a brain haemorrhage has gone viral in social media and it is learnt that doctors examining him have found bruise marks on some parts of his body.

It is understood that the baby's parents knew the babysitter and have been sending their son over to her home for just over a week.

It cannot be established yet how the baby sustained a brain haemorrhage or the bruises to his body or if the parents have lodged a police report.

Attempts to interview the baby's parents at the hospital were also unsuccessful.
