KUALA LUMPUR: After 14 years of dealing with her son's debts and the constant harassment from loan sharks, a woman has decided that enough is enough and has taken steps to disown her offspring.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference at the office of MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong at Wisma MCA on Wednesday (Aug 15), the woman, who only wants to be known as Ng, said her son, Chiow Chee Son, 36, started borrowing from loan sharks around 2004 to feed his gambling addiction.
