A task force to be set up to monitor child minders


BANGI: An inter-ministerial task force will be set up to monitor unregistered childcare centres and minders, while the Child Care Centre Act 1984 would be improved to prevent death of children placed in the care of unregistered nannies, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said.

The Women, Family, and Commu­nity Development Minister said the task force would involve her ministry, the Home Ministry and the Attorney General’s Chamber.
