MAS to reduce economy class baggage allowance on domestic flights by 10kg

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will be reducing its free baggage allowance for domestic flights from 30kg to 20kg beginning August.

The revision is only for those travelling by Economy class and only applies for fares booked from Aug 1.

The airline said in an email to the Star Online that the revised bag allowance was in line with other full service carriers and that it was introduced to ensure competitive prices in light of escalating fuel prices.

It added that the baggage allowance comes with complimentary services such as 7kg cabin baggage allowance, meals and in-fight entertainment.

A notice of this revision had been recently circulating on social media.
