GEORGE TOWN: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) obtained a five-day remand against a chief executive officer of a government-linked developer over an alleged graft case.
The 47-year-old man, who was clad in orange lock-up attire, arrived at the courthouse around 10.05am on Saturday (March 3).
Magistrate Aziana Azib granted the remand order starting from today.
The CEO from JKP Sdn Bhd was detained by MACC after he turned himself in to have his statement recorded at the Penang MACC headquarters on Friday (March 2).
JKP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Minister of Finance Incorporated, which was incorporated as a developer in 1995. It builds affordable homes in Penang.
