Police to form taskforce over petrol station murder

PUTRAJAYA: Bukit Aman will form a taskforce to investigate the fatal attack at a petrol station in Johor Baru, said Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim (pic).

The Deputy Inspector-General of Police said the taskforce will get to the bottom of the brutal incident.

“This is a very serious incident that has traumatised the public.

“I have contacted the Johor police chief and instructed him to form a taskforce for the case,” he told a press conference after launching the annual general meeting of the Malaysian Security Services Association on Tuesday.

Noor Rashid confirmed that the victim has past police report records but declined to elaborate.

Earlier on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the deceased, known as Ah Chiu, is believed to be the leader of an underworld organisation.
