Forex RCI: Anwar can’t be blamed, says Opposition

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should not be accused of misleading the Cabinet over Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) losses amounting to RM31.5bil from its foreign exchange (forex) dealings between 1992 and 1994, say Pakatan Harapan leaders.

Subang PKR lawmaker R. Sivarasa said Anwar, who was the finance minister then, was merely giving statements based on the findings by the Auditor’s General (AG) Report on the forex trading.
