We’re engaged, Fattah and Nur Fazurah confirm

KUALA LUMPUR: After much speculation, celebrity pair Fattah Amin and Nur Fazura finally confirmed that they are engaged.

The 27-year-old actor announced his engagement to the 34-year-old actress yesterday.

“On Nov 13, I sent a merisik (seeking) party to Fazura’s family home. It went well and we were engaged on the same day,” Fattah said.

Previously, a local daily reported that Nur Fazura and Fattah may have gotten married after white canopies and wedding-like decorations were seen at a family home in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Fattah clarified that the event was actually a private get-together and a send-off ceremony for him and Nur Fazura to perform the umrah with their respective families in Mecca on Nov 14.

He also explained that the engagement ceremony was held privately to respect the wishes and privacy of his family.

Nur Fazura slammed unverified reports about her relationship status with Fattah, saying the speculation caused much distress to her family.
