CONVICTS who wear an electronic monitoring device (EMD) can be jailed for up to three years if they lose, tamper with, damage or destroy the gadget under proposed amendments to the Prevention of Crime Act (Poca) 1959.
The Bill was tabled for its first reading by Deputy Home Minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed.
