SIS: It’s a deplorable form of humiliation


PETALING JAYA: Allowing public caning in Kelantan with the passing of amendments to the Syariah Criminal Procedure Enactment 2002 is a “deplorable form of humiliation”, said Sisters in Islam (SIS).

The decision to enforce public caning, it said, would brand Malaysia as a nation that favoured punishment over rehabilitation.
