DPM orders review of Minor Offences Act

TELUK INTAN: The Deputy Prime Minister has ordered the review of the Minor Offences Act and legislation related to the Royal Malaysia Police and the jurisdiction of the Home Ministry so appropriate amendments can be made.

Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) said this was in response to the case of a 53-year-old woman who was fined RM100 on Thursday after writing "babi" (pig) on a police summons.
