AGC not appealing against fine issued to woman who wrote ‘babi’ on ticket

The woman was charged under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 and was slapped with a maximum fine of RM100.

PETALING JAYA: Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali has ruled out an appeal against the fine imposed on a 53-year-old single mother who wrote the word “babi” on a summons was issued to her.

The woman, Tan Yeoh Foong, had on Thursday pleaded guilty to writing the word on a police summons at Jalan Tun Abdul Razak in Johor Baru at 8.55pm on Dec 13 with the intention of causing anger and public disturbance.
