Umno AGM: Govt to help struggling families cope with rising costs

THE low- and middle-income groups could become the “silent killer” of Barisan Nasional at the next general election if the Government does not do enough to alleviate their hardship caused by rising prices, said Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

He acknowledged that many B40 (bottom 40%) and M40 (middle 40%) households were struggling to cope with the increasing cost of living.
