GEORGE TOWN: The state government came under fire for being insensitive to Indians by allowing the Penang Run 2016 to be held at the Esplanade on Sunday, a day after Deepavali.
Penang Gerakan Youth vice-chief H. Puvaniten said the state government should urge the organiser to postpone the event.
