Stop the blame game, Noh tells Azmin

KUALA LUMPUR: Playing the blame game is not going to help the Selangor government, said Tan Sri Noh Omar, who challenged the Mentri Besar to lodge a police report against Umno.

The Selangor Umno chief said this to reporters at Parliament lobby here Monday in response to claims by Datuk Seri Azmin Ali that Umno played a part in “sabotaging” the state's water supply.

Noh said he found Azmin's allegations humorous.

"I want to tell him, we don't play dirty to win elections. We don't want to inconvenience people to win.

"So I challenge him to make a report to the police or relevant authorities. If he has proof, then why wait?

"At least then we can see whether his allegations are true or just baseless," he said.

He claimed the state government's attitude of playing the blame game was not going to end well.

"They always blame others but they will not admit it. That is their culture,” claimed Noh.

The Tanjung Karang MP said the state government should have taken preventive measures, adding that they were managing the situation poorly.

"They said they will take two actions to resolve the matter - one is to find a solution to the problem and the other is to investigate the source.

"Instead, they should have taken preventive measures.
