Boat which went missing off northern Sabah confirmed to have capsized


Searchers were also looking around the popular fishing waters in southwestern Pulau Mengalum off west coast Sabah in hopes to locate the four people including a Spanish couple who has been missing at sea since Monday.

KOTA KINABALU: The boat carrying four people which went missing in the waters off Pulau Balambangan in northern Sabah is confirmed to have capsized following the recovery of a 3HP speedboat engine by fishermen.

MMEA Sabah and Labuan regional director First Admiral Mohd Zubil Mat Som said family members confirmed that the engine retrieved by fishermen on Sunday belonged to the boat used by Tanjung Simpang Mengayau resort owner Tommy Lam Wai Yin.
