April 2 (Reuters) - Spanish cyclist Jaume Guardeno is in intensive care with serious injuries after colliding with a vehicle while training, his team Caja Rural-Seguros RGA said on Thursday.
The incident took place on Tuesday, and the 23-year-old, who finished 14th in the Vuelta a Espana last year, was rushed to hospital by helicopter, the team said in a statement.
"His condition is being closely monitored... we would like to send all our support and strength to Jaume and his family at this time, wishing him a speedy and full recovery," they added.
