Cycling-Spaniard Guardeno in intensive care after training collision


April 2 (Reuters) - ⁠Spanish cyclist Jaume ⁠Guardeno is in intensive ‌care with serious injuries after colliding with a vehicle while ​training, his team ⁠Caja Rural-Seguros RGA ⁠said on Thursday.

The incident took ⁠place ‌on Tuesday, and the 23-year-old, ⁠who finished 14th in the ​Vuelta ‌a Espana last year, ⁠was ​rushed to hospital by helicopter, the team said ⁠in a statement.

"His ​condition is being closely monitored... we would like to ⁠send all our support and strength to Jaume and his family at ​this time, ⁠wishing him a speedy and ​full recovery," ‌they added.
