Meera Mukhriz: Thank you Kedah!

PETALING JAYA: The daughter of former Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir (pic) wrote in support of her father calling him a dedicated man who did his best for the state.

In a Facebook status on Sunday, Meera Alyanna Mukhriz wrote that she was honoured to have Mukhriz as her father.

"A person with integrity, perseverance and strong will.

"It's upsetting to see the good guys lose but as someone once said to me, Allah SWT has a plan for us all," she said.

She added that though she does not know about politics, she knew that her father was a great man.

" I am very grateful for all that you have given me and I know that being Kedah Mentri Besar was a great opportunity and experience for you - one you honoured greatly.

" You were dedicated and you poured your heart and soul in your job," she added.

Meera said she valued the time she had with Mukhriz as he was always busy.

"Since you were so busy, I valued the time that I got to spend with you where you would encourage me to check out local Kedahan artists or new locally made clothes.

"Not to mention, how excited you were for each Kedah football match," she said.

She went on to say that she was proud to have been raised by Mukhriz and his wife.

"You did the best you could have  and I am so very proud to be raised by you and mom.

"To Kedah, even though I did not get to say my official goodbyes, thank you so much for welcoming us and thank you for being so wonderful," added Meera.
