Khairuddin and Chang out on bail

KUALA LUMPUR: Ex-Umno leader Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan and his lawyer Matthias Chang are out on bail after a High Court ruled that they cannot be charged under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 for attempting to sabotage the banking and financial services.

In a landmark case, Justice Mohd Azman Husin said Section 124L of the Penal Code for the offence of attempting to sabotage could not be read together with Sosma 2012.
