Azmin Ali's son to record police statement, sit for exams on same day

KLANG: The teenage son of Mentri Besar Azmin Ali has been called by the police to have his statement recorded on Monday over the recent Bersih 4 rally.

And this has irked the father as the 15-year-old boy would also have to sit for his school exams the same day.

In his tweet, Azmin said the police issued a notice under Section 111 of the Criminal Procedure Code calling for his son’s statement to be recorded over the rally.

Azmin said that his son was told to be present at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters at 10am tomorrow (Monday) although the teenager was supposed to start his final exam the same day.

''A child as young as 15-year-old who has been victimised will rise and fight the Umno cruelty and tyranny.

''I'm thankful that my son, Basheer is brave,'' he added.
