Woman nabbed in Kuala Krai with M16 rifle

KUALA KRAI: A woman has been arrested after she was found in possession of a cache of five firearms, including a Colt M16 rifle.

General Operations Force (GOF) Southeast Brigade commander SAC Ahmad Radzi Hussain said the suspect was arrested during an integrated operation at 6.45pm on Monday (April 20), reported Sinar Harian.

"All the firearms were found during an inspection of the house," he said.

He said the suspect and seized items were taken to the Gua Musang police headquarters.

He added that investigation would be conducted under the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971.

SAC Ahmad Radzi said the raid was conducted together with the Wildlife Protection and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) and the Forestry Department.
