Elaborate designs of Mehendi art a big hit at Deepavali carnival

GEORGE TOWN: Henna artist R. Saranyah was in deep concentration as she patiently drew an elaborate floral design on the hands of her customer with henna paste.

Although the 20-year-old makes it look easy, her right hand has to be steady while applying the paste from a tube with the right strokes and lines, while her left hand holds her customer’s hand.
