Cut ‘negative elements’ to buffer depreciation, says minister


PETALING JAYA: Malaysians should reduce the “negative elements” in the country to buffer the ringgit depreciation, said Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consume­rism Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainudin.

Acknowledging that the ringgit had affected the country’s economic planning to some extent, he said: “If we can reduce the negative elements, investors will come and our economic reputation and ratings will be better.”
