Penang PAS mulls legal action over councillors’ dismissal


GEORGE TOWN: The Penang state government is ready for any lawsuit initiated by Penang PAS over the dismissal of its representatives at various local authorities.

“We will wait for their lawyer’s letter,” said Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng in response to reports that Penang PAS was considering suing the Penang state government over its June 17 removal of Yaacob Omar from the Penang Island City Council and Omar Hassan from the Seberang Prai Municipal Council.
