BORN a commoner in Bagan Serai, Perak, in 1953, Tuanku Haminah Hamidun wed Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah on Dec 25, 1975, at the age of 22.

The fourth of seven children to Hamidun Taib and Isma Mohamad, Tuanku Haminah received her early education at SK Matang Jelutong and later studied at SM Inggeris Bagan Serai.
