Be more aware of current issues, graduates advised

JOHOR BARU: Graduates must be more aware of current issues in order to ensure success in the future, says Datuk Lee Chee Leong.

Speaking to 688 graduates of the Southern University College here, the Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister said current affairs and general knowledge would also sharpen their critical thinking abilities and increase their potential.

He added that while professional knowledge is a good thing, building a rapport with colleagues and people in the real world would be the true challenge faced by the graduates.

“Even it you thrive as an entrepreneur, you still have to cooperate well with external parties. There’s no such thing as a one-man game,” he said in his speech at the 24th SUC graduation ceremony here on Sunday.
