PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will reveal three other options on ways to preserve and grow the retirement savings of contributors.
EPF deputy chief executive officer (strategy) Tunku Alizakri Alias said besides the higher withdrawal age proposal, the options would be revealed during a briefing with the media and stakeholders tomorrow.
He also urged the public not to have a knee-jerk reaction towards the proposal to increase the withdrawal age from 55 currently to 60.
“It’s not the only option we are looking at. Be rational. Study the other options and then let us know what you think,” he said.
The EPF will be kicking off its consultation programme starting with the Monday briefing and followed by the launch of an online forum and survey for members the next day.
