THE Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has deemed the 1Azam programme to provide the hardcore poor with employment opportunities as “problematic”, with various weaknesses.
PAC chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed (BN-Pulai) said that among the weaknesses was the short guarantee period for equipment like sewing machines, ovens and refrigerators provided to participants of the programme.
