BUKIT MERTAJAM: The Penang Immigration Department rounded up 55 foreigners at the Bukit Mertajam Fish Wholesalers Association’s market in Jalan Padang Lalang here.
Its director Hasbullah Abdul Rashid said 62 foreign workers in the market were screened and 55 of them were found to be without work permits or have overstayed during a two-hour operation codenamed Ops Bersepadu, which started at 10pm on Friday.
