Alvin Tan, Ali Abdul Jalil ordered to surrender passports

PUTRAJAYA: Controversial blogger Alvin Tan and political activist Ali Abdul Jalil have been ordered to surrender their passports to the Immigration Department or nearest Malaysian Mission.

The Immigration Department, in a statement Thursday, said this was because the Malaysian international passport issued to Ali, with serial number A32104821, and Alvin Tan or his real name Tan Jye Yee, serial number A32765005, were revoked effective Dec 9.
