Malaysia-Vietnam match marred by violent clashes between supporters

A Vietnamese football fan was injured following clashes between supporters at the AFF Suzuki Cup first-leg semi-final tie in Shah Alam on Sunday.

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysia-Vietnam AFF Suzuki Cup first-leg semi-final match at Shah Alam on Sunday night was marred by fan trouble in the closing stages.

Various media reported that supporters from both sides were involved in violent clashes that were halted by authorities.

Plastic bottles were also allegedly thrown by the home fans at their Vietnamese counterparts.
