Court orders 'Allah' CDs returned to clerk

KUALA LUMPUR: Clerk Jill Ireland Lawrence Bill has succeeded in her bid to have the Home Ministry return eights CDs containing the word "Allah", which the ministry had confiscated from her more than six years ago.

Kuala Lumpur High Court (Appellate and Special Powers) judge Justice Zaleha Yusof quashed the Home Minister's decision to seize the religious CDs under the grounds that the CDs used prohibited terms and breached Malaysia Islamic Development Department (Jakim) guidelines.
