KANGAR: Perlis Puteri Umno chief Zuraidah Zainal Abidin and a 57-year-old businessman claimed trial in the Syariah High Court here Wednesday to committing khalwat (close proximity).
Zuraidah, 34, who is also the Arau Puteri Umno division chief, and Burhanuddin Ismail allegedly committed the offence in a room at a hotel in Persiaran Jubli Emas here, at about 1.30am on March 3.
