SEPANG: It was the foreign media that raised political issues in their coverage of the search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, said acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein on Tuesday.

Asked at a press conference at the Sama-Sama Hotel here whether Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would be asked to assist in investigations into the disappearance of the plane, Hishamuddin said: "The government's focus has been to search for and rescue MH370. Politics has been brought up by the foreign media, the Daily Mail and CNN today. The issue is above politics."
