Wanita Umno branch leader found dead by son

KOTA TINGGI: A Wanita Umno Felda Semenchu branch leader  was found dead by her son at her home here today.

The body of Zalifah Jamaluddin, 68, was discovered by her son who had come over to her home in Felda Semenchu at around 12.20pm.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Rahmat Othman said that her son had later called the Telok Sengat police station and said that he suspected that his mother was robbed and killed.

"The victim's son claimed that the main door to the house was open and the items in the house were scattered all over the place," he said when contacted.

Supt Rahmat added that further investigations revealed that the victim did not sustain any injuries to her body and police were still trying to determine what transpired.

He said that the body of the victim has been sent to the Sultan Ismail Hospital for a post mortem.
