Government committed to helping Gen-Y


NUSAJAYA: The Government is committed to helping the "younger" generation or the Gen-Y to help them face the future.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said times were changing constantly and while it was difficult to predict the future, the Government hopes to prepare the Gen-Y to face whatever that may come their way.

"We will not be able to imagine the technological and lifestyle changes that the future may bring, and it is a challenge for us to prepare our younger generation to face an unknown future," he said.

Najib was speaking during the launching of the Gen-Y festival and EduCity at Iskandar Malaysia Educity sports complex, here, on Sunday.

Also present were his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, his wife Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman and Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
