Nuri helicopter given 'Check 2' before flight, says RMAF chief

BUTTERWORTH: The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) has ruled out technical fault as the cause of the Nuri (Sikorsky S-61A-4) helicopter crash in Pulau Perak, Kedah.

“Aircraft maintenance checks, or preventive checks, are conducted regularly to determine the airworthiness of each aircraft. In this case, ‘Check 2’ was conducted after 180 flight hours,” RMAF Chief Jen Tan Sri Rodzali Daud said.
