Involvement of political parties not necessary during redelineation, says Shahidan

KUALA LUMPUR: The involvement of political parties, including the Opposition, is not necessary during the redelineation process of electoral boundaries by the Election Commission (EC), said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim.

Shahidan said, The Federal Constitution, does not require the (EC) to consult with any political parties when conducting the redelineation process.
