KANGAR: Perlis Mentri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli has congratulated Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim for his appointment as the new state Perikatan National chairman.
Mohd Shukri said with the appointment, he hopes that Shahidan will continue to lead and strengthen the unity and resilience of Perikatan in Perlis.
"Congratulations to YB Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim on his appointment as the new Perlis chairman of Perikatan," he said in a Facebook post.
Mohd Shukri said he also hopes that Shahidan will ensure that the Perikatan administration remains in power in Perlis and achieves success in the 16th General Election.
Mohd Shukri, who is the Sanglang assemblyman, is not the only one dropped as state chairman.
Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah who is Pahang Perikatan chairman was also dropped and was replaced by PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
