DAP: Voting for CEC ends; results by 7.30pm

PETALING JAYA: All votes have been cast and ballot boxes have been sealed here for the DAP Central Executive Committee (CEC) re-election on Sunday.

"We will take the time to count the votes carefully. We are planning for the results to be announced at 7.30pm," he said, adding that the announcement time was subject.

"We can't afford glitches, so we need to make sure that the results are only announced after they are completely verified by all the necessary authorities."

Supporters and delegates are currently awaiting the results outside the hall where the voting took place.

Officials announced earlier that a total of 1,725 ballot papers had been given out.
