Immigration DG: It takes only 14 days to process foreign worker visas, permits

KUALA LUMPUR: The lead time to process visas and permits for foreign workers in the construction industry is 14 days and not eight months as claimed by the Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM), said Immigration director-general Datuk Alias Ahmad.

He said the Immigration Department had increased staff at its Visa and Reference Division besides introducing overtime to ensure the process does not take too long.
