Road trip turns fatal for duo

ALOR SETAR: A car carrying two friends from Langkawi skidded and crashed into a tree along the North-South Expressway near the border town of Changlun, about 42km north of here, killing both men.

Businessman Teh Eng Chuwan, 47, and tour operator Chung Yoke Kyon, 28, were ahead of a convoy of cars travelling towards Danok, a popular Thai border town known for its nightlife and shopping, when the crash occurred around 10pm on Thursday.
