KUALA LUMPUR: The Methodist Church in Malaysia has elected Rev Dr Ong Hwai Teik the new Bishop and his term of office will begin Jan 1.
The consecration ceremony was held at the Chinese Methodist Church in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 24, led by outgoing Bishop Rev Dr Hwa Yung, who was also conferred the title Bishop Emeritus at the ceremony.
