Woman wins sexual harassment case against ex-employer

SHAH ALAM: A former personal assistant who was sexually harassed by her boss was awarded RM25,000 with interest by a Sessions Court here.

Judge Sabariah Othman in her ruling said Mas Anum Samiran, 37, suc­­­ceeded in proving elements of sexual harassment by defendant Othman Mohamed, 54, who was a former country director at a multi-national company where they both worked. However, the plaintiff’s claims of loss of income was disallowed.
