Kedah Sultan appoints Council of Regency


ALOR SETAR: The Sultan of Kedah, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, Monday appointed a Council of Regency to ensure smooth administration of the state after his departure to Istana Negara.

Members of the Council comprise the Sultan's brothers, Datuk Seri Tunku Annuar Sultan Badlishah, Tan Sri Tunku Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah and Datuk Seri Tunku Abdul Hamid Thani Sultan Badlishah, as well as the Sultan's daughter, Datuk Seri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz Sultan Abdul Halim.
