No such incident of teacher assault at Kuala Kangsar school, say Perak cops

IPOH: The police have shot down claims that a teacher was assaulted by a group of students at a school in Kuala Kangsar.

Kuala Kangsar OCPD Asst Comm Heisham Harun said having checked on the matter, no such incident was found in the district.

"We also did not receive any report.

"The people are advised not to speculate or make negative comments about such claim," he said in a statement late on Thursday (June 11) night.

Perak education committee chairman Datuk Khairuddin Abu Hanipah had reportedly said on Thursday that the state was checking on the matter.

The alleged incident was said to have taken place at about 11.30am on Wednesday, after the disciplinary teacher had cut the hair of a student.
