PUTRAJAYA: Three million Rela members, Civil Defence and members of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) will take to the streets as volunteers to help police conduct crime prevention rounds starting August, Home Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Mahmood Adam said.
He said the training for those joining the volunteer programme had already begun and they would conduct joint patrols with the police nationwide once the programme was launched in August.
