THE Whistleblower Protection Bill only provides protection to informants who give confidential information to government enforcement agencies, said Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Liew Vui Keong.
Liew was replying to points raised by Lim Kit Siang (DAP - Ipoh Timur) who wanted to know why protection was not given to former Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Raja Kamaruddin and private investigator P. Balasubramaniam, who had information on alleged misappropriation by certain quarters.
