Canny’s rapist-killer faces the gallows after Federal Court upholds sentence

KUALA LUMPUR: Ahmad Najib Aris, the man convicted of the rape and murder of IT analyst Canny Ong Lay Kian (pic) six years ago, has exhausted all his legal avenues to overturn his death sentence.

The Federal Court’s three-man bench yesterday unanimously dismissed his application for a judicial review of its decision to uphold the death sentence in March, this year.
