KUALA LUMPUR: Prince Court Medical Centre has become the first private hospital in the Klang Valley to receive the Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation last December for the standard of its medical care.
Its chief executive officer Stuart D. Rowley said in a statement that the accreditation was a remarkable achievement for the hospital and a boost for the country’s medical tourism sector.
“Despite the current economic situation, we strongly believe that the market will continue to grow as most of the medical tourists come here to seek curative treatments rather than procedures for aesthetic purposes,” he said.
The JCI is a world renowned authority on health care responsible for accrediting organisations illustrating and practising high standard of medical care.
Penang Adventist Hospital was the first hospital in Malaysia to receive the JCI Accreditation back in November 2007.
